Sunflower is dedicated to providing food that nourishes your body, mind, and soul. The ambiance of our space fuels memories with friends and family.

Crested Butte is a magical town, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support our community and its wonderful farmers by highlighting their ingredients in the delicious food our talented chefs create.

We make everything from scratch and develop it in-house. The Supper menu revolves around what is in season and available from the farms. Our wine list blends exciting Old World and New World wines, accompanied by a simple yet satisfying selection of beer.

At Sunflower, we strive to always provide an experience of genuine joy. We offer an escape from the stresses of life, allowing you to immerse yourself in a world of clean, healthy indulgence that will leave you energized and inspired.

Seating & Reservations

Sunflower restaurant sits in the heart of downtown Crested Butte at 214 Elk Avenue. We open from Wednesday to Saturday, starting at 6 pm.

We offer two seatings: the first at 6:00 pm, 6:15 pm, or 6:30 pm, and the second at 8:00 pm, 8:15, or 8:30 pm.

When booking the first seating, remember there is a 2-hour time limit on the table. However, the second seating has no time limit.

You can also book both seatings for a set price, allowing your party to arrive anytime with no time limit. We also host private dinners for parties of 10 or more on Sunday-Tuesday; please email us to inquire. We look forward to seeing you soon!

For reservations, gift certificates, or questions, please call or text 970-417-7767.

We prefer texting for reservations as it ensures the quickest response. Please note that all reservations require a $70 minimum per person and a credit card to hold the reservation. Please provide 24-hour notice for any changes, or we will apply the minimum charge. If you confirm but fail to show up or call, we will charge $100 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are only confirmed with a return response and cannot be made through this website. For any large party or private events please email us at sunflowercbcoop@gmail.com.

Leading up to the event, they were incredible to work with, and on the night of, they made everything feel seamless. Sunflower feels like home in the best possible way—warm, cozy, and with food that is absolutely top tier. It was my goal to have the best wedding food anyone has ever had, and Sunflower completely delivered. Every course was better than the last, and our families are still raving about it. I was in Crested Butte visiting from Maryland for me and my girlfriend’s anniversary. If there were more than 5 stars I can promise they’d be checked. From the moment we stepped inside the service was unmatched. Then comes the food…. The depth of flavor, freshness, and overall attention to detail was incredible. I can say it was the best meal I’ve ever had. Would recommend to anyone in Crested Butte

I was here for an event, so I’m not sure how well this translates to a normal night, but wow. The food was incredible. Farm to table fresh and there was a wide variety of dishes that they pulled off very well. The service was probably the best I’ve ever seen. Amazing staff. Cozy, stylish vibe.

The experience was beyond exceptional. Nick was one of the best servers I’ve ever had – he curated a full chefs tasting menu for our group and was right on the money with every dish we were served. The scallops and bread pudding were absolutely mind blowing and a must order for any diners. Thank you for letting us shut it downnnn! Will 10/10 be back!

Do you like fun? Do you like service that makes you feel like a regular even though you’re just here on vacation? And more importantly, do you like really, really tasty food? If so, this is the place. Currently the mussels & red curry sauce is to absolutely die for (multiple people at our table resorted to slurping and requesting extra bread). The wine list is extensive and the owner will happily go as deep as you desire on chatting through the wine that’ll work best with your meal.

Yet another place in town that lived up to the hype. Yes,it’s on the pricey side and, unlike many places we’ve visited, we felt our dinner was worth it. Nick, our waiter, took care of us. He walked us through the menu and how the food is prepared and served. It was a privilege to be hosted by him and the Sunflower staff. When we were there, the ambiance was festive and lively. Don’t expect a quiet, intimate setting! We can’t wait to revisit this gem again.

Came to this venue summer of 2022 for a private work dinner. All the staff was amazing and friendly, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the courses were so delicious that the entire experience was one of the best and most memorable meals I’ve ever had.

We had to move our reservations forward by a week and the restaurant was very accommodating. We had the potato garlic soup, a butternut squash vegetarian dish with homemade burrata cheese, the filet (amazing), and flourless chocolate cake. Everything about my experience at the Sunflower was amazing. The food, service and atmosphere were perfection. I had not experienced a Tasting Menu before this and am still thinking about how wonderful it all was two days later!

Such a special place and unique dining experience! The food is fantastic, the portions are just right for sharing, order lots of small plates so you can try everything! The owners and servers make you feel like you are dining with friends.

I like food. I like drinks. I LOVE good vibes. Coming from a state with amazing cuisine and flavors, I always have doubt in other states. Sunflower blew me away tonight. So much thought and execution to every dish. The wait staff was dynamite. The ambiance was fitting, but Natalie’s flavors rose above all. Thanks for an amazing evening!!

A special establishment run by kind, fabulous people. I feel as if I made new friends coming here. Their wine list is sensible, approachable, but quite elegant. The food was outstanding; fresh and all farm-raised. My expectations were exceeded in every aspect and will be back ASAP

It is hard to judge what was better, the staff or the food. Everyone from the hostess, to the waiter, to the owner, brought an amazing energy and a wonderful vibe to a very cool restaurant. The food was carefully curated and fresh. The waiter provided great suggestions for food, drinks, and dessert. 11/10 would recommend. I will be coming back anytime I’m back in Crested Butte.

One of the best food and ambiance experiences i have ever had! From San Francisco to LA this is the place to go for an awesome and top notch dinning experience. Nick, Natalie and Chris were super hosts! I would definitely come back! The menu is ever changing and farm to table. If you are looking for a Michelin star restaurant without the star definitely go to sunflower! Make sure to call and make a rez as they are usually booked a week in advance (ie how good this place is).

Worth more than a detour. If I had a Michelin Star to give I would, but instead I will have to settle for a Rebecca star. We had all the small plates split between a party of four and it was the perfect dinner experience. Both the service and the food was dreamy, to say the least. 10 out of 10 give these people your money.

Cannot recommend this spot enough! We were a group of 7 on a Saturday celebrating our friends 30th so we were a bit ‘rowdier’ than the average patron (I’m assuming) – lots of date night folks (which I would also do here).
– Atmosphere: 10/10

– Food: 10/10 – instead of each person individually ordering, the staff suggested the ‘Last Supper’ – family style serving. They catered to the vegetarian we had in the group, which was great. We had a delicious corn bisque soup topped with popcorn, kale Caesar salad, ..pretty much everything on the menu. Everything was fresh and delectable. I’m a very picky eater (think chicken tenders – I tend to stray from vegetables and seafood). WELL, I was eating squash, tuna tartare – this changed my life. I couldn’t say no to trying (and having a second serving) everything.

– Staff: 12/10 – not only did they help celebrate the birthday (with no prior knowledge), they were so friendly and fun. We were treated like family.

Dinner at the Sunflower was absolutely amazing! Really enjoyed the positive energy and impeccable service by all the staff, which was rivaled by all the incredible food coming out of the kitchen. Everything was spot on!! Was traveling with my brother and a good friend for over two weeks, and was easily one of the best meals & dinner experiences that we had. Want to give a shout out to all the staff & owners for a very memorable experience. Can’t wait for the next visit…Thanks again!!!

We had the most amazing dinner. Ben was a great server, food was high quality, and atmosphere was so cute! We loved how everything was coursed and never felt rushed. There was information on the menu where each ingredient came from as well as thoughtful thank you note and cards from the supporting farmers. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Crested Butte.
