Doumbek Drum Making

Thursdays, 6:00pm – 8:00pm. October 6 – 27. (4 sessions)

Learn how to make your very own doumbek drum out of clay! Ceramic experience recommended but not necessary.

Students will throw or hand build the base of their drum, design the outside, slip or glaze their drums, and then stretch a goat skin over top of the drum.

Registration fee includes clay, tools, slip, glaze, kiln firings, goat skin, and instruction.
