Crested Butte Mountain Resort Opening Day

The lifts start spinning for both bikes and hikes on June 17th (delayed from June 10th due to snow conditions on the mountain). CBMR summer services will run through September 6, and include the Mountain Bike Park, Mountain Sports Team youth programming, hiking and scenic rides on the Silver Queen and Red Lady Express lifts. There will be bike hauls on the Red Lady Express.

“Following a reduced operating footprint last summer, guests can look forward to more activities on tap at the resorts for the upcoming summer season,” said CBMR senior communications specialist Will Shoemaker.

The Evolution Bike Park was established at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in 2009. Since the beginning it has been designed to meet the needs of all riders; from cross-country aficionados, beginners on two wheels, and gravity experts. Evolution Bike Park is becoming one of the best in the state of Colorado. With 25 trails covering 30 miles of singletrack, the riding opportunities reflect the roots of mountain biking history here in Crested Butte.

Both lift served downhill trails and cross country rides connect to some of the legendary rides in and around Crested Butte. The landscape in the valley, and the views from the trails of Mt. Crested Butte are some of the most beautiful you’ll see on two wheels. Getting to ride in one of the birthplaces of mountain biking, with an impeccable backdrop, is an experience you won’t want to miss.
