Crested Butte Film Festival

Recently named one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by Movie Maker Magazine, Crested Butte Film Festival is about engaging with film and with each other. Tucked away in the beautiful mountain town of Crested Butte, with an atmosphere of spontaneity fueled by great films, shared experiences, bikes, hikes, and magical mountain scenery, Crested Butte Film Festival makes for an unforgettable fall getaway.

September 21-25, 2002

Over 75 films spanning the genres of narrative, documentary, outdoor adventure, children’s, and short films are screening over the five-day festival.

Additional programming sprinkled throughout the festival includes filmmaker talks, panel discussions, lively parties, and engaging “Beyond the Screen” experiences. Whether the post-film experience takes audiences out of the theater and into the surrounding aspen forests, into a local art gallery, or to the skate park, viewers are invited to connect on a deeper level with themselves, with each other, and with the film that they just enjoyed.

CBFF will take place in person in Crested Butte, September 21-25, and virtually, September 21-October 9, 2022.

Tickets to CBFF are $15 for individual films (available on 9/21) and passes for the whole 5-day event start at $250 (available now). Please note, passes are limited and it’s recommended to purchase your pass as soon as possible. Visit for more information.
