A Brief History of 20th Century Music

What do the Beatles have to do with Dadaism? How should you approach listening to atonal music? And, how has the twentieth century influenced composers today? All this and more as we survey the most complex century in music history! After this lecture, you’ll be better equipped to engage with the music of our time.

Lecturer: Dr. Erik Christian Peterson

Dr. Peterson is a Juilliard-trained, international concertizing musician and lecturer at institutions such as Oxford, Princeton, and NYU. He is Co-Artistic Director of the Crested Butte Music Festival.
