Join Irwin Guides for a Crested Butte Backcountry Ski/Splitboard Powder Camp this winter!

3 days — March 24-26, 2023

Crested Butte has a vast array of backcountry skiing and splitboarding terrain, covering all aspects and elevations, from glades to bowls to couloirs.

Pow Camp is designed for skiers and riders who have completed an AIARE Rec 1 or 2 course and want to build their skills, with a focus on finding the best possible snow given the weather and avalanche hazard.

Each day the group will work to objectively assess these factors and plan a tour to find the best skiing and riding for the given day.

The emphasis of this course is finding good snow and preparing you with the skills that will improve your own tours after the course. One day of the course will include snowmobile rides to access some harder to reach terrain in the Crested Butte backcountry.
